Small fish in a large ocean...
Travel and leisure
Recent developments include:
Working alongside the editor of a leading holiday property company’s investor magazine, a niche-oriented travel and leisure portal was devised to expand the company’s online marketing activities, along the way developing a whole new sales channel, and valuable secondary revenue stream.
The website featured many components, including a Forum, Blogs, an ecommerce shop, enewsletters, ePostcards, and a great deal of content from travel writers around the world.
The result, www.40plustravelandleisure.com, is now set to become an autonomous profit centre in its own right.

Intranets
Way back in 1997 I started my web career - tasked to be part of a team to set up an Intranet for the company for whom I worked as a systems analyst at the time. It was an exciting time of discovery, as we were all new to the technologies and the possibilities.
It was also part of our task, to proove to higher management the business case for having an intranet - and why this should be the way forward.
There were many highs and lows along the way - but by 2004, when it was time to move on from that company, we had gone from having a few information pages, with some wacky graphics (they were all the rage in the beginning) to having a company wide essential tool, containing applications, and departmetal web portals.
I was involved in all aspects of the development, design, implementation, maintenance, and also was the rollout and training of over 100 departmental 'intranet contributors'.
